***41. Oswald Chambers... these are excerpts from "My Utmost for His Highest" devotional...

Isaiah 6:8

"Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!" "

From Oswald - Jan. 10th...

"In sanctification, the one who has been born again deliberately gives up his right to himself to Jesus Christ, and identifies himself entirely with God's ministry to others."

From Oswald - Dec. 2nd...

"I am called to live in such a perfect relationship with God that my life produces a yearning for God in the lives of others, not admiration for myself. Thoughts about myself hinder my usefulness to God. God's purpose is not to perfect me to make me a trophy in His showcase; He is getting me to the place where He can use me. Let Him do what He wants."

As per me... How are we doing at allowing the Lord to help and enable us, through His Holy Spirit...to "die to self" - and minister to those around us for Christ???

We need to worship our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is one with His Father and the Holy Spirit...we need to worship God the way He wants us to worship Him!!! Many of the faith tend to look at God as their little errand boy, to do their little biddings according to their misguided plans and agendas while giving Jesus Christ, that same God, their mere afterthoughts...! They go to Christ only when their troubles drive them to Him and while things are good, they don't give Jesus Christ even a second thought! Please don't give Him your "seconds"...give Him your best - Christ is worthy of all praise, worship, honor, and glory...!!! He is God Almighty - Who went to the cross and died for us!!!

Don't give Jesus your seconds...give Him your "UTMOST" - for HIS HIGHEST...!!!

Think about it...and...

Pray about it...!

Side note: (I wrote this in this devotional originally in 2021...) I had a patient in one day in January who was at the DC rally on Jan. 6th - you know, the one nobody is talking about right now...

She spoke to how patriotic and peaceful the time they were having there was that day...!

It is interesting to see how different the response has been between that week and the riots that went on for months the year before...wouldn’t you agree? There is a lot of lying going on folks - by EVERYBODY!

One would almost say, “What is TRUTH anymore...?”

My friends...this is just the way Satan wants our world to be!!! And guess what...? It’s gonna get worse! I’m not trying to bring you down! I’m trying to bring you and I to reality... “realville”! We need to be sharing Jesus Christ with a dying world that is looking for hope! We need to be spending time on our knees before we are told we can’t do so - right? And then when we are told we are not to do so like Daniel was - we keep hitting our knees and praying to our God and Savior Jesus Christ…!!!

Think about it...

Read utmost.org for Nov. 1st... “You Are Not Your Own”… and for Jan. 11th... “What My Obedience to God Costs Other People”… and for Aug. 1st... “Learning About His Ways”…

“Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.”

2 Peter 1:1-11 NASB

“For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach- if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.”

Colossians 1:9-23 NASB

“In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory." And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke. Then I said, "Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts." Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven." Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!" He said, "Go, and tell this people: 'Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.' "Render the hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes dim, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed." Then I said, "Lord, how long?" And He answered, "Until cities are devastated and without inhabitant, Houses are without people And the land is utterly desolate, "The LORD has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. "Yet there will be a tenth portion in it, And it will again be subject to burning, Like a terebinth or an oak Whose stump remains when it is felled. The holy seed is its stump."”

Isaiah 6:1-13 NASB

As per me again...Have you asked Jesus Christ to send you???

And...why not???

Think about it...

Amen and Amen…!!!
